Estonia is a world leader in the development and application of digital government services and solutions.

This unique capability – which encompasses software, systems, digital identity, process design and legislation – has been developed over two decades helps the state, businesses and citizens save time and money.

Estonia has also been successful in finding commercial applications for its e-government capability. This has spawned many successful IT companies, the e-residency program and is adopted by other countries.

Ireland is potentially the next. Having developed its Open and e-Government strategies over many years, Ireland’s next goal is to deliver more convenient, intuitive and joined-up digital services by 2020 via an 18-step plan.

Estonian solutions such as the Unified eXchange Platform® of Cybernetica are expected to play a key role in enabling Digital Ireland, leading to significant spill-over requirements for training, software, advisory, etc between the countries.
