It is an honour to represent Ireland in Estonia, countries with so much in common. Both Ireland and Estonia are committed and enthusiastic members of the European Union, the United Nations and other multi-lateral forums. Ireland believes that a multi-lateral approach is key to solving the global challenges we face. As we say in Ireland, Ní neart go cur le chéile- none of us is as good as all of us.

Ireland and Estonia both have small, open economies with strong services and technology sectors. The Irish Embassy in Tallinn works with Irish State Agencies (the IDA, Enterprise Ireland, Bord Bia and Tourism Ireland) to promote business and trade activity between Ireland and Estonia.

The role of the Embassy is to aid communication and understanding between our two Governments, to foster connections between our peoples and to work with the small but energetic Irish community in Estonia. I am very grateful to my predecessors for their excellent work in developing the already strong bonds of friendship, culture and trade between Estonia and Ireland.

Ireland’s inward investment promotion agency, the IDA, is a non-commercial, semi-state body promoting Foreign Direct Investment into Ireland through a wide range of services. We partner with potential and existing investors to help them establish or expand their operations in Ireland.
Since its foundation IDA Ireland has enjoyed a warm, constructive and productive relationship with the Irish diaspora all over the world. We have worked closely with Diaspora organisations and groups for over 60 years. We will continue to engage with members of the Diaspora on potential investment leads.

Please get in touch with us if you have an investment lead or are aware of any company considering an international investment.

Enterprise Ireland is the government organisation responsible for the development and growth of Irish enterprises in world markets. We work in partnership with Irish enterprises to help them start, grow, innovate and win export sales in global markets. In this way, we support sustainable economic growth, regional development and secure employment.

All services are made available to clients through their Enterprise Ireland Development Adviser who acts as the primary point-of-contact for all Enterprise Ireland services.

Our Development Advisers have sectoral expertise and are experienced in working with companies through all stages of the business development – from start-up, to established small and medium-sized enterprises, right through to Irish international companies with the ability to achieve significant scale.

In EAS, you will get closer to your goals and dreams. In addition to various support, we also provide consultancy services and practical training and workshops at the top of their field. In addition, our export advisors also help you to reach foreign markets successfully.

Established in 2000, Enterprise Estonia (EAS) promotes entrepreneurship and regional policy in Estonia and is one of the largest institutions in the national business support system, providing financial support, advice, opportunities for cooperation and training to entrepreneurs, research institutions, the public and third sectors.

Through our activities, we contribute to the long-term strategic goals of the Estonian economy. To this end, we support the development of export-capable and value-added companies. Our more distant goal is to help Estonia become one of the most competitive countries in the world.
