The Irish-Estonian Business Network (IEBN) was formed in 2015 with the objective of establishing and growing reciprocal business, tourism, educational and cultural links between Ireland and Estonia.
Ireland and Estonia are two geographically great locations with a great deal in common on opposite sides of Europe. While markets are modest, both countries have niche markets of interest ie Fintech, ICT, Cybersecurity, GBS & Analytical Devices. In addition, Ireland can provide a user friendly base for access to the UK Market or alternative (post Brexit), while Estonia could provide a similarly user friendly basis for Irish business interested in Nordic and Baltic markets.
Since formation IEBN has organised and partnered on numerous business events including trade missions for the ICT, Fintech, Housing/Construction/Architecture and Maritime sectors; plus free to attend networking events and individual company introductions.
Tourism activities include an Estonian language guide to Ireland and numerous cultural events including music, poetry and sports.
IEBN has raised significant sums of money for charitable causes in Estonia including Minu Unistuste Päev and the Lotus Orphanage (Laste Hooldekande Asustus Lootus; Sillamae).
In both Ireland and Estonia , IEBN has an active member base and a broad network of contacts across business, cultural and government sectors.
We are a not-for-profit organisation funded by the Irish Government Emigrant Support Programme, voluntary donations and corporate sponsorship.
